Worcester Carnival Parade starts at Pitchcroft Race Course at 3pm, making its way around the 1.7-mile route through Castle Street, Foregate, High Street, Pump Street, City Walls Road, Deansway and Croft Road before returning to Pitchcroft.
There will be rolling road-closures between 2pm and 5pm to allow everyone to safely enjoy the carnival.
Farrier Street / Castle Street: Junction will have restrictions in place from 2.00pm and prohibit turning left into Castle Street. Turning right is allowed to support with First Bus services however the junction will be closed fully at 2.45pm and will remain closed until the carnival Parade has passed – this will be until at least 4.00pm and other restrictions will be in place on neighbouring roads.
Castle Street / Foregate Street: Junction will be closed at 2.00pm and will remain closed until the carnival Parade has passed – this will be until at least 5.00pm and other restrictions will be in place on neighbouring roads.
They are running rolling re-openings so traffic will be able to flow down Foregate Street as soon as possible; this might be about 4.00pm. The access across the river bridge will be nearer 5.00pm and also from the Tything.
